The SVN Annual Conference is always a rich and inspiring time for our team. It’s an opportunity to gather with some of our nation’s top commercial real estate professionals to focus on fresh ideas that carry us forward throughout the year. At this year’s conference in Palm Springs, CA, our team was also honored with several distinctions.

George Brown Named 2025 Managing Director of the Year
Our very own President George Brown was recognized for his leadership at SVN | Wood Properties. He leads with deep, authentic passion for people and the places that shape our lives. He has cultivated community as a core value for our team as we work with each other and spend time together outside of the office.
His leadership impacts our team and the greater community of Knoxville greatly. This is a well-deserved recognition! Well done, George. We’re proud of you and feel honored to follow your leadership while helping shape the future of commercial real estate in East Tennessee.
Taylor Thompson Recognized as 2025 Rookie of the Year and Receives SVN’s Achiever Award
Taylor Thompson is one of our rising stars at SVN | Wood Properties. Starting with us in the inaugural class of our Junior Associate Course in Spring of 2024, Taylor hit the ground running as an advisor and hasn’t looked back. She’s had a remarkable first full year as a commercial real estate broker in Knoxville.
Not only that, she’s a positive influence on our team’s culture, and we love having her with us. Her passion for her work and her clients shows in every deal she brokers and interaction she has in the office. She takes that passion outside of the office through volunteering for organizations like the CCIM East Tennessee Chapter, Knox Heritage, and the University of Tennessee’s Young Alumni Council, as well as by becoming a Member Associate of SIOR.

SVN | Wood Properties’ Jon Roosen, Matthew Strother, and Taylor Durand Honored in 2025 Presidents Circle
Being designated as a member of SVN International’s Presidents Circle is an accomplishment worth celebrating. A few members of our team enjoyed the honor this year at the awards dinner. The Presidents Circle is SVN International’s second highest production tier and recognizes top advisors from across the country. From the SVN | Wood Properties team, Jon Roosen finished 22nd, Matthew Strother finished 39th, and Taylor Durand finished 41st.
Jon Roosen was also awarded a Real Leaders of Real Estate Award, highlighting professionals whose work demonstrates how commercial real estate creates meaningful impact in communities. We are proud of Jon and the leadership he brings to his team. His work reflects excellence, and he makes us better every day!
